End Prescription Charges

I have Crohn's Disease, Tourette's Syndrome, Depression and Dry Eye Syndrome. I take medications for all of these conditions. At the moment, I have a HC2 certificate, which expires soon. I think nobody should have to pay for the medication they need to live and stay well.

Sadly I just don't know how the NHS can afford it. I think chronic illnesses should be payment exempt though.

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society have found that the cost of treating people who didn't take their medication because they couldn't afford it is about the same as the revenue generated from prescription charges.

Also, 9 out of 10 petitions are already dispensed free of charge. It wouldn't be a major issue if the other 1 in 10 were also dispensed free.
