I have done a search, but can't find a thread on here drawing attention to this appeal.

The BfN has run out of money to fund this service, and it is at risk of closing down.

Please have a read and share wherever possible.

They might prefer to make this a sticky at the top of the folder.

It's not usual to have appeals as a normal thread (you can imagine why - it's not the right place), but they are often v. sympathetic to helping out when there is a very important cause, as this one is.

The BfN Drugs in Breastmilk service is often recommended on mumsnet.

It is a very valuable service for breastfeeding mums. I have used it for myself, to get information for others.

Good luck with this. It's a valuable even essential service.

I'm just giving this a bump, now that it has been moved to the petitions section.

If you have ever been on antibiotics, antidepressants or any other drug while breast feeding, these are the people to go to to find a breastfeeding compatible drug. Many doctors still give incorrect advice and ask people to stop before they are ready, so this remains an extremely important helpline.
