Change Primary Schools' Admissions Criteria

Please sign e-petition so that proximity from child's home to school is one of the main criteria. It will prevent the unfair system in place at many schools whose Board of Governors choose not to have catchment area in their admissions criteria. Just click on link below:

Could you clarify - is this N Ireland only?

(There are huge swathes of England with no catchments, and catchments everywhere already in Scotland).

I live in Northern Ireland and it is a common problem here. I've been compelled to start this petition as this is an ongoing problem and we need the Education Minister to put regulations in place to prevent this from happening.
