You only need one.......

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 22/06/2010 23:10

I would have said mouses. Not mice.

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 22/06/2010 23:11

A shop would have lots though. Is it a display of mice or mouses?

ILoveDolly · 22/06/2010 23:12

I agree with Eleanor

funkychunkymunky · 22/06/2010 23:16

Mouses. It's not a furry creature!

PigeonPie · 22/06/2010 23:19

Stripy - probably 'periferals' thus avoiding the question!

Monty100 · 22/06/2010 23:47

Mouses.

Mice is the plural of the furry animal.

Different word.

bronze · 22/06/2010 23:50

We hav emouses in our house of a furry kind. Dds toy is called Mouse so the fact that she has two toys called mouse presumably makes it mouses.

senua · 22/06/2010 23:53

PidgeonPie: did you mean 'peripherals'?

paisleyleaf · 22/06/2010 23:58

Mi?

RespectTheDoughnut · 23/06/2010 00:00

Senua, did you mean 'pigeon'?

PrettyCandles · 23/06/2010 00:00

Nah, a shop would label that shelf

Mouse's

It's mice: "The use of mice with desktop computers is now ubiquitous....."

Monty100 · 23/06/2010 00:02

Pretty -

Although it could even be Mouses'

senua · 23/06/2010 00:13

RespectTheDonut Guilty as charged.

PrettyCandles · 23/06/2010 00:17

It's mouses: The Compact Oxford English Dictionary (third edition) and the fourth edition of The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language endorse both computer mice and computer mouses as correct plural forms for computer mouse. Scroll down to the 'Names' section.

jennifersofia · 23/06/2010 00:18

Clearly, it must be moose.

Monty100 · 23/06/2010 00:25

Or mooses if you're in Scotland.

RustyBear · 23/06/2010 00:25

They were named because they looked like the animal, so I can't see any reason to change the plural.

PigeonPie · 23/06/2010 11:05

Oh bother Senua - of course I did - replying too quickly on my iPod

Although thinking about it periferals may be better!

frakkit · 24/06/2010 11:47

Periferals are what chase your mouse around....
