Couldn't find this topic anywhere and now it has just popped up in Active Conversations!

I am correcting an academic paper written by a French man in English.

For one of his references to another book (within the text of the article), he has "pp 191 et suivantes" (pages 191 and following).

Is that how you would say it "and following" or "pp 191 on"?

Can't find the answer to this anywhere on the web which makes me think my solutions are wrong.

Would appreciate help with this, pretty please!

pp 191 ff, iirc.

God, how very coded of me.

ooh thank you, that rings a bell now, I knew my "translation" sounded wrong.

Single f if it means and the following 1 page (which it clearly doesn't, given the plural suivantes, but there you go), double ff if it refers to more than 1 page:

pp 191 f = pages 91 and 92
pp 191 ff = pages 91 and a few more consecutive pages

Good to know fink, I am just finishing up my correction so will try to remember that for future reference.
