name for consonant, vowel, consonant word

My friend has just got married and her new name alternates vowels and consonants - along the lines of Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. There must be a specific word for this. Along the lines of palindrome being a specific word for something spelt the same forwards and backwards.

It's really begining to bug me - please help!

That is just too complicated jux

I'm sure there was a word for it. I think I heard it in a radio competition once or something. Once I stop thinking about it I'm sure it will come back to me!
