Was I wrong to change a form of authority emailed to me by my solicitor before printing it out

???

because if someone else was talking about me, they'd say she gives permission, but I wouldn't say about myself that I gives permission, I would say I GIVE permission.

Maybe he's from the West Country and does actually say 'I gives it' (that only works if you adopt a very strong Vicky Pollard accent, though) .
