Lay-bia for me. Just glad to hear someone else call them flaps as DH reckons I am the only one!

I don't think men worry how to pronounce it though quite frankly...rude to speak with your mouth full and all that...

OED says "(leIbIem)" where second e is a schwa vowel. God, we need the IPA here, never mind more bloody smileys.

Anyway, if I remember rightly "eI" is "ay". So lay-bium, plural lay-bia.
