Yes but in Ireland now it's really common to pronounce it that way. Speaking of Irish, the Irish for Hallowe'en is Oiche Shamhna which is Samhain's Eve.

Samhain also means November.

Speaking of pedantry, does anyone know how to put the "fada" in, as in the i in Oiche Shamhna? I've been tryig Alt Gr but no joy...
Yes, yes Hallowe'en, as in Hallow E(v)en (ing). I most certainly do not say Hollow Een, but then am not from D4.
