Next time a writer used the term quixotic to describe Sarah Palin, could you just check that he did actually mean to imply that she was a romantic but impractical dreamer?

Because I doubt if he did.

I'm still not convinced that it needs an apostrophe at all.

(Remember judges' lodgings? )

Little, ks was always one of the loveliest & funniest MNers in the dim & distant

(and apparently, according to cod anyway, her name is pronounced Kays - not K-S, which is how she has always sounded in my head - but I'm guessing we can call her E-S in our heads now, not Ess )

WendyWeber · 07/10/2008 19:08

Now I wonder if we can lure SenoraP back in too, as I haven't seen her here for months & months

What are you doing these days? I think you were still working for that dentist last time we spoke. How old is your lovely boy now? (He must be 10 or 11???)

WendyWeber · 07/10/2008 19:13

ES, I can't remember who you were (2004 vintage here but under fullmoonfiend)
But as a fellow pedant, I salute you!

roisin · 07/10/2008 20:28

Hello! I was thinking of you very recently and wondering whether you were on here somewhere incognito.

Has your ds started secondary this time then? Has he settled in well?
