Think about, please; or in very, very few cases, think of, but surely never, ever think 'to' this, that or the other?

Rant over.

gah ! agree with you - it's 'looking to' as in ' loking to buy' that drives me demented

milge · 02/08/2008 18:48

I was just about to start a thread on this very topic. "think to" should be banned. It sounds awful.

kittywise · 02/08/2008 19:06

What does 'think to' mean.? It makes no sense.
Do people really say 'what do you think to this?'.
Oh I must have misunderstood, please ignore.

NotQuiteCockney · 02/08/2008 19:07

It's perfectly valid dialect, isn't it?

Jux · 02/08/2008 19:11

Unless you are sending psychic messages, in which case it's "think at"

WilfSell · 02/08/2008 21:53

Is it dialect? Where? Come on pedants, explain.

Sounds awful though.

It's Northern English - cite.

There are over 83 thousand examples of this phrase online.

Oh me too, I was really irritated by this yesterday but managed to stop myself going and bitching on the thread in question.

GordonBrownKickingHisHeels · 04/08/2008 08:06
