Ambiguous signage

Spotted on the back of a delivery van tonight: ‘Changing the future of breast cancer’.

Surely we want to eradicate it, not ‘change its future’? Do they mean, ‘changing the future of breast cancer research’?

I hate the fact that I drove home (10 miles) and pondered upon this all the way. 😂

Breast cancer - changing the future - would that convey a better message?

Not really. Breast cancer is changing the future, and we don't want it to.
