Have L'Oreal never heard of magic 'e' words ?

Why do they insist on calling creme 'crem' and sublime 'subleem' in their fatuous TV adverts ?
If they ever started selling fruit and veg would they then try and persuade us that there is a small green citrus fruit called a 'leem' ?

I think it's supposed to sound as if they're pronouncing it in a vaguely French way, and we're supposed to be impressed.

They obviously do think that the word pentapeptides must be impressing us or they would surely be trying to glamourise it by trying to convince us it shoud be pronounced 'pentapepteeds'
