Rather than running a town council

I think you are going to need to be a bit less cryptic...

ETA Sorry - just spotted this is pedants' corner and I get it now!

Mumtobabyhavoc · 06/01/2026 21:49

Oh, yes. That's a common one.

I was just about to ask if you knew where you were. 😊

Counsellors don't give emotional advice either. If we are being pedantic.

PillowRice · 07/01/2026 10:15

Are they not giving advise? Wink

Pedant5corner · 07/01/2026 19:36

You need councilling! Smile

Hahaha, this reminds me of a local council notice that was shared on facebook, about a meeting they were holding (can’t remember the subject) and they really wanted local stake holders to attend 🤣

I imagine the council meant stakeholders, not persons holding stakes!

Oh my lord, that would have been even better 😂

I'm a town councillor. On a visit to a local primary I was introduced to the school counsellor as "the new councillor". Very awkward.

FictionalCharacter · 07/01/2026 21:46

I don't mind them as much as the councellors!

Bubblyaero · 07/01/2026 23:29

It’s just basic phsychology.
