Yet another "he's" instead of HIS

I’ve oft wondered if it’s the same poster under many usernames, or it’s a linguistic quirk of increasing prevalence on social media.

It seems rude to ask on the thread(s).

Usually the other way around, in my experience - "I don't know where his been" etc!

I've only seen it as the other way round too.

it's almost as irritating as "a" when the poster means "I"

There was a really long OP yesterday full of ‘he’s’ instead of ‘his’. I really want to ask why posters do it.

I know a school mum who writes this. Its honestly shocking primary school failed her so badly that's basic spelling. She even says it that way too

It is utterly shocking that such basic, everyday words are being confused. It's beyond basic - not just primary, but Year 1 stuff.

Because they have never been taught the difference and do not read. Similar to been/being. How often have you seen posts saying "what's the worst thing about been on holiday" or similar? There's an oft-quoted fact about whatever percentage of UK adults being functionally illiterate and those people may well be posting on MN.
