as in: "I am loving your skirt Branflake"

It just sounds so...vulgar.

Branflake, I'm feeling your pain.

StealthPolarBear · 09/05/2008 16:31

i'm loving it

belgo · 09/05/2008 16:31

I am soooo agreeing with you

StealthPolarBear · 09/05/2008 16:32

It's ever since the McD's advert in my opinion, and I am, actually, hating it too.

ChicaLovesHerLocalGreengrocer · 09/05/2008 16:35

This gets me too. And it's all McD's fault (and wasn't it Justin Trousersnake who sang the song? )

I teach EFL and it's now near to impossible to get the students to believe me that really it is incorrect grammar : 'but the song says...'!

belgo · 09/05/2008 16:36

I cringe every time I hear it (or see it used on mumsnet!)

StealthPolarBear · 09/05/2008 16:36

It also makes it sound as though there is some activity:

"I'm loving your shirt"
"Well make sure you don't get it dirty, I need to wear it again tomorrow"

UnquietDad · 09/05/2008 16:37

I'm seeing where you are coming from.

Anyone else hate it when people say "I heart..."?
