Couldn't work out what this advert was saying

Double page spread in the Guardian yesterday saying that the Coventry Building Society are taking over the Co-op bank (at least, I presume that's what 'welcoming to our family' means). But I stared at the second page on and off all day, and it's only just occurred to me what it's saying. Anyone else flummoxed?

It's a two-way conversation between CBS and the Co-op, no?

CBS: we've got exciting news...
Co-op: no way, so have we!

Yes, exactly. But it took me two days to twig that's what they meant! I think it was the question mark that threw me. I read the left hand page as "We've got news. We're merging..." and the right hand page "No way? " as in "No way to do banking? Need a hand" type thing. Which is why "So have we" made no sense at all.

If it had been an exclamation mark I would've got it.
