Proper nouns deserve capital letters!

Anyone else INTENSELY annoyed by the current (and now standard) way in which advertisers, television companies etc have ditched capital letters eg "producer....john smith"?

How on earth are we to teach our children correct grammar, if incorrect examples are evident every day of our lives?

I dunno, style changes - when I first trained, you capped up Prime Minister, now you generally don't. Although 'john smith' is just trying too hard.
