Click-bait for pedants...

Should it be:

Five words in "the English language people use"? Wrong!

Fixes the grammar, but is now factually incorrect.

Interestingly, the headline in the actual article ( qz.com/1738647/five-words-in-the-english-language-people-use-wrong/ ) say "usually use incorrectly" so they got the adverb right there.

The five cases in the article are interesting but I'm not sure they qualify as "using incorrectly", more like examples of how etymology sometimes arises from errors of pronunciation or evolution of meaning, especially when a word originated in another language.

Anyway, I'm grateful it's not an article full of silly peeves, such as objecting to using "hopefully" as a sentence-modifying adverb.
