I'm a bit of a pedant myself but it's starting to sound like I've been saying this phrase wrong my whole life (as have all my friends and family!)

"Another thing coming" or "another think coming"???

I spent most of life assuming "another thing coming", but it appears that "think" is right. There was a long thread on MN on this.

There's no point telling me that "thing" doesn't make sense. It did to me and many others, but "think" is probably the original phrase.

They are probably both right, depending on region / upbringing.

Although I personally think that one sounds a lot nicer than the other.
