this drives me mad! i mean really mad. anyone else. His asleep now. aarrggh. and i don't type with capitals as i'm nearly always holding a baby before you have a pop at me!

Oh, I'm glad I'm not the only one! It sets my teeth on edge I don't profess to have perfect grammar/syntax etc. all the time, but this one is just wrong.

I've noticed it more often the other way round - he went to he's home. People seem almost to feel compelled to put in unnecessary apostrophes.

I keep seeing this recently on here. Before it was just Facebook and the like but now on MN too. Why is it trending so much?! It's the new 'generally' instead of 'genuinely'

I'm seeing this more often too and I silently scream inside every time I notice it.

I am not on many SM places but I see lots of mistakes which I long to correct. I don't mean that I want to correct them in a supercilious way. I just want to teach them, if I can. I can never tell whether people don't know or do know but don't care or are doing it deliberately or don't proof-read their own work or whether an auto-correct type of process has happened and auto-correct has got it wrong.
