As well as invite.

And friend as a verb.

Angry

I'm quite mellow, but these set my hair on edge.

Mixed metaphors, however, just roll off the tongue.

Hmm

I think electric as a noun is partly a regional thing - up here it's quite normal to get a bill for "the electric". Grin

My DH is an electrician. People are always asking him about their 'electric'.

It's just horrid.

Horrible. I agree also about "invite" and "friend". I'm not that keen on "parent" (v)

Ghastly. But then there is 'leccy'.

'parent' as a verb came up on here a while ago and I remember looking it up. It's very, very old usage, actually, so not in the slightest bit wrong!

I agree about electric as a noun and friend as a verb, though.
