The "keep and eye out" conflation gets on my nerves

Surely, it's:

• "keep a look out"

and

• "keep an eye open"!

Are people who say this:

• lazy bastards, for conflating the two,

or

• feckless so-and-sos, for losing a whole phrase?

BOLLOCKS!

I meant "keep an eye out"

This has evidently upset me!

or you are so angry you have frothed all the way from vagina to eyeballs and can no longer see what you are typing?

It's a saying, isn't it? like crawling puddings.
