Well actually, he is a friend of mine but making a bit of a name for himself on the comedy circuit. If your teeth have ever been set on edge by songwriters' incorrect grammar being played over and over again on Radio 1 so that the entire world thinks that "ironic" just means "coincidental", have a look here - I promise you'll love it!

ooh - some responses! glad you all like him - he's on tour at the moment and I went to see him last weekend doing his show from Edinburgh Fringe. I really want him to hit the big time and be on Mock the Week (rather than just writing for it as he has done until now) or HIGNFY. He has a new song about Berlusconi which is v.good and you can find on YouTube.

I first saw Bill Bailey at the Fringe when he was an unknown; there definitely are routes to bigger audiences from there. How did the tour go?
