Funnily enough, I was just about to post the same BBC report. 
Despite some people, the dodgy spellers presumably, saying it doesn't matter these days, it's good to see someone acknowledge that it very much does matter.
Some months back on the I Want One Of Those web site, it said "your shopping basket is disappointedly empty", which always made me "tsk, tsk". I'm pleased to see it's been corrected.
