Every time I hear the phrase "war on terror" it makes me want to scream. Please someone tell me it's not just me....

Yes but Dubbya always liked to say 'TURRR' for terror so he probably asked for it to be kept that way

"War on terrorism" is just as meaningless as "war on terror" (which sounds like they will ban horror films, you are right) because you cannot fight a method of asymmetric warfare.
