This is not an issue of pedantry but I thought that this was the topic where it would be appreciated.........

Just come across the word muliebrity. I had never heard it before! It means feminity and is therefore an opposite of virility.

I like it!

Pure serendipity. (The best sort of infd)

I started a converation with DD1 about the gender of words in French (she's 9 and don't think she quite understood......) and then as is my wont started romping around online dictionaries and references for my own etymological pursuits. (Femininity is so confusing!)

I now discover from Wikitionary that Vanderbilt University offers the Muliebrity Prize............ I need to find out more!
