PLease help me , I have been writing an essay for 24 hours and now my brain won't work

I want to refer to more than one doubting Thomas.

Am I right to say:

Doubting Thomases
Doubting Thomas'

I am sure I am being thick but I am exhausted. But surely there is no possession between Thomas and the doubting. I am just writing a plural. But then my sore head is telling me that the doubting nature belongs to all those naughty people called Thomas.

What's the whole sentence?

If just writing plural, then the first example.

It is upstairs on my memory stick but roughly it says
The Bible castigates doubting Thomases and therefore we should not be surprised when Christians are eager to believe in miracles.

It looks ugly though winny.

It does look ugly, but it's right.

You could say 'In the Bible, doubting Thomas was castigated, therefore ...'

Ooh thanks NQC I have been sat here for 10 mins trying to find a way or writing the sentence without using a plural of Thomas.

Or "If the Bible castigates a doubting Thomas, should we then be surprised that Christians are eagar to believe in miracles?"

Trebuchet I love you, you could almost make me believe in miracles.

And you have used fewer words, meaning I am getting down to my limit.
