prize giving - what should I buy?

My son has been awarded a prize for making progress throughout the year!!!! would like to buy him something special to say well done, any ideas?

wont the prize itself be something that says 'well done' already? I would think that is enough in itself, otherwise a book might be appropriate.

Cook him his favourite meal or go out for tea.
