I was planning on inviting the whole class, but she said quite firmly today "It's my party mummy, not yours and I should get to decide who comes".

Does she have a point?

I'm paying for the dam thing. DH is refusing to get involved.

For what it's worth, there seems to be no party etiquette in her class, ie. inviting all the girls/all the class etc, some people are invited, some aren't, and that's how it goes. She's gong to be 5.

But will the boys be thrilled by my pink princess theme and pink party bags?

DD won't be.

sigh, I knew this would happen if I had a girl after 2 boys.

so dont do a princess theme..

Actually dont do that anyway even if she invites girls.

I think its great that your daughter isnt worried about the sex of her frineds... log may it continue.

But I've always wanted a princess party!!!

I'm now stamping my foot and pouting!

And I think she is concious of the sex of her friends, as she only wants to play with boys.

OK, I'm ditching the princess party....we're going neutral.
