My ds does swimming Saturday lunch times, and gymnastics Sunday lunch times.
We are now getting party invites that clash with these activities. To begin with I thought oh well its only a one off he can miss it this week to go to the party, but as more invites come, I'm thinking hold on i've paid for these activities, he should be doing those instead.
My ds in this instance is easy going and likes both i.e. party and activity so will go along with what I say. And if I ask do you want to go the party i get an 'ok', but if i ask 'do you want to go swimming?' i get an 'ok'.
So what do other parents do - activity/party/or dependent on who's party it is?
