Anyone recommend where to get 'Victorian' costume?

Can anyone recommend where to get a victorian costume for a 6 year old for school project. Have tried ebay, just full of expensive pinnies and floppy hats. Unfortunatley I am to sewing what Tiger Woods would be to fidelity in marriage, takes me an hour to sew on a button then I have to wash it to get rid of all the blood! help needed please!!

Have you tried freecycle? If the school make a habit of doing this project there must be other people locally who have now unused costumes?

Funnily enough I suggested something similar this morning but was met with not a lot of enthusiasum. I will have another go this afternoon!
