A 'Finding Nemo' 4 yr old party?

I have been desperately searching for some Nemo or fish related party tableware for DD's 4th birthday party (her fave film). I've tried ebay/Amazon/Google but it appears that there just isn't the availability for Nemo - or you pay over the odds for a few napkins and cups as they are in scarce supply.

I've found an 'under the sea' range at Woolworths online but am struggling as to how to decorate the hall - it's a big, plain church hall. Also it's looking very 'blue' at the moment and would like to make it a tad more feminine (hate the stereotypes that girls must have pink etc but it seems sea theme is geared towards boys).

We've having a small bouncy castle, a couple of games, something crafty and tea. That's it. From experience of other parties I know not to be too ambitious.

Am wondering if anyone else has used this theme and have any great ideas?

Have you tried Party Pieces on line? try www.partypieces.co.uk/category/themed+parties_classic+themes_deep+sea+fun.htm

Try www.partyprojects.co.uk

They create fantastic decorations with balloons and also paint backdrops to fit the theme you want. I used them for my DDs birthday and definitely recommend them.

I did this for DD's 3rd birthday - even made a Nemo cake! We did a treasure hunt where I stuck loads of paper fishes round the garden and they all had to find 5 to win a prize, and party bags were buckets and spades with bubbles and bouncy balls with fishes in - got Under the sea plates etc from Party Pieces plus a big Nemo type fish bowl. Those are the only bits I can remember that were specifically fish themed.

I know I've seen Nemo foil balloons out there - take a look online and bet you'll find them

Top tip for party bags - do a fishing game where each child has to cast a line with a clothes peg on over a sheet 2 adults hold up - one crouching down behind the sheet gets to peg on the party bag. Caused much delight at a birthday party DS1 went to when he turned 3.
