Alternatives to a treehouse birthday

My friend is going to be 30 in November and is wanting to do something extravagant for her birthday.

She wants to get some friends together and go away for a weekend but wants an unusual location like a castle, cave, treehouse etc.

She lives in Nottingham but has friends in Northampton, Birmingham and London so somewhere in the middle would be great but if not she's happy to travel.

Does anyone have any ideas for unusual venues? I want to make this birthday special for her.

Is this site any good? There was a feature on some of the places from it in the Guardian this weekend.

Looking at it, though, the locations might not be convenient for you.

Thanks Hewlettsdaughter. I've had a look and the most they sleep is 4 and ideally we want somewhere that can sleep around 10.
