Eighteen 4yr olds - castles or Easter theme? Which will be easier?

So, I have eighteen children coming to a 4 yr olds party. So far we have got as far as a date (I think). Now we have the difficult bit of choosing a theme.

Castles / princesses / knights
or
Easter

For the castles on we could decorate crowns, and for the Easter one we could make Easter baskets/bags for all the easter eggs we find on an egg hunt.

Those activities don't fill 2 hours though. What else can I do?

Easter - pin the tail on the Easter bunny

  • pass the parcel with an easter- themed prize
  • buy a cuddly chick and do a name the easter chick competition
  • "corners" game with an easter picture in four corners of room.

Tip for Easter egg hunt if you've not done them before - keep some eggs back and hide them once children are hunting - makes it last a bit longer!

You need to check out the following website:
www.lelloandmonkey.co.uk They have great party suggestitons to keep children entertained for 2 hours. They also have an Easter egg hunt, and a FREE colour in bunny mask and eggs.

Alternatively, if you go down the princess theme route they do a princess, treasure hunt and party games.

Have Fun!

Oh lovely ideas. I particularly like the 'pin the tail on the bunny' .

I was thinking that a treasure hunt would fill in quite a bit of time, yet could be as short as we wanted if we had plenty to do.
