Party bag business - do people actually use them for their kid's parties?

Hi

Just wanted to get some feedback from other mums.

I'm thinking about setting up an online party bag/party accessory business. I know it's not the most original idea, but I figure it's pretty simple, low cost and fun!

Question is, do people actually use these kinds of services? If so, what do you look for when buying from these sites?

Any thoughts/opinions would be gratefully received!

Thanks
MLM

No, because I am (a) mean, (b) broke and (c) enjoy doing them myself - so clearly I am not your target market.

I would be intruiged to know if you can make a business plan stand up, though. DM and I considered it when I was a teenager and the maths just didn't add up.

yes, but there are hundreds of them up and running already. I use one.

I usually order the bits online. But I can manage the opening the packets and putting them in the bags all by myself

I thought about similar a while ago, but was more thinking about "party in a box" -i.e everythng you need for a kids themed party - cups/plates/games/party bags.

Tbh when you look at the costs, and such like it just isnt viable. With places such as poundland etc folk can do it really cheaply themselves, and for you to make a decent profit you would need to charge a lot more, which these days most people wont do.

I suppose there is a "high-end" market for hand-crafted cath kidson/boden-esque type bags with locally sourced/fairtrade/organic contents but I cant imagine you getting many of those orders
