at 1 any party will be entirely for your benefit, not hers, so do whatever you would enjoy

For DD1's first we bought 3 helium balloons for her and her two little friends to play with/gaze at then had our friends round one she'd gone to bed!

I did a traditional party with party food and a few games for the older kids - pass the parcel etc. DS opened presents during party too.

Anything you like! - she won't be bothered. I think we had a cake and champagne for close family. It was nice to mark it, but definitely not worth going to any trouble over.

i have just recently started a new business specialising in providing soft play equipment for children under 5. my website is www.tinytotsplay.co.uk

its a very new venture but have done a couple of parties now and the younger babies (including my own 1 year old) loved crawling around and exploring all of the equipment. its all very baby friendly, have a look!

im with hester though with the champagne, got to be done!

marge you need to pay to advertise on this site

DD slept through her first birthday party, it was a joint birthday party with ds who was 3.

For DS we just had a party in the garden with food and managed to hire a swimming pool thing full of balls which went down well with the little ones and older ones. We had pass the parcel for the older children.
