Just starting to think about DD's 5th birthday in a couple of months - we had one for her 4th, with about 12 friends and a bouncy castle and games etc but I found it so stressful - the games only took up about 20 minutes and I spent the whole time terrified that someone was going to have a terrible injury on the bouncy castle! I swore that this year we would do a little trip to the cinema with her best friends or something! But it is steadily becoming apparent that we're not going to get away with that - having her birthday towards the end of the school year means that she has many months to plan the big event and she is already talking about it daily! So I am thinking that maybe we should bite the bullet and get an entertainer so that at least I'm not having to worry about corralling 20 five year olds. I've found this place online that do parties in our area - mermaids, princesses etc (dd is set on an 'under the sea' party). They quote £130 for an hour - does that sound reasonable? Would be so pleased if anyone has used them and can tell me all about it!
Should be working today but am obviously finding any reason for procrastination I can possibly think of!
