Its my 30th in april this year so i have 4 months to plan a good weekend but i'm stuck with ideas of what to do.

I dont mind organising a party for about 30 people but i want it to be different sorry not specific i know

I had thought about a murder mystery evening or even a themed night such as movies but i'm just not sure.

I'm on the outskirts of sheffield so anywhere round that area would be great

Does anyone have any ideas???

TBH i didnt want a birthday party and arranged a special holiday instead. It was nice to be away for the actual day itself. As i was spending it with foreign family who i get on with well but rarely get chance to see it was lovely. But i think the best bit was not having to stress about the day itself. no worries about if it went wrong. It was just a really nice trip.

Have you tried this? very useful tool ime ask it to find you what you seek. cant go wrong really. just be specific.

Good luck and have a lovely day. however you celebrate.

Have been googling for the last few days now, even my db has been on the case. just cant seem to come up with venues other ideas etc
and i cant seem to decide on what specific things i'd like

I wanted a big thing because the last 10years has been filled with deaths/misery/illnesses and depression (within both mine and dh's family) and want this to be the start of a new era too

I'm really just after some ideas to make it different

Paintballing?

northernmonkey · 18/01/2010 22:46

Now i said paintballing but my db and dh said no. They both said (and i spose i agree to an extent) we could do this any time and a 30th is a celebration
Oh i'm confused

Hire a bijou cinema out to show your fave Christian Slater/Keanu Reeves film (you're near my age, you must have one!) and then go ice skating.

Mediaeval banquet - we have a castle near us that organise a fab evening, don't know if there's an equivalent where you are.
