I am on maternity leave with little to occupy my brain other than building castles in the air about the impending arrival - and fantasies about the Christening are featuring heavily at the moment

I'm interested in finding out what those who had christenings as part of a morning service did afterwards for a celebration. Our morning service finishes at about 11.30 and I was planning on going back to Mum and Dads for a garden lunch party. Do you think midday is too early for afternoon tea type food (cakes, sarnies, sausage rolls etc) ?

hi we had an early christening 9.30am easter sunday when the clocks went back to!! any way we did the usal buffet thing and a bar and 99% of the food went so go for it, i always do food ratios for eaxmple 80 people feed 70, as some will always never eat.
Enjoy your day. ps we also did a lot of tesco value ood and no one noticed!

Ds was baptised at morning mass - 9.30.

We have cakes, sandwiches, etc. By the time everyone gets back and has a drink they are ready for something.
