1980s party, Need ideas for drinks and food please

We are having a 1980s party for dhs 50th . About 30 people coming and I need ideas for food - I think lasagne / chilli were popular then were they not? What retro drink / cocktail can we start evening off with? I cant remember what I drank in the 80s, probably becasue I drank too much of it!! . Please help me where Google has failed me.

Food and drink with lots artificial colourings is what I remember from the 80's!
Quattro - a bright green canned soft drink and I think Quosh did a bright green cordial!
And Um Bongo of course!
Space invader crisps or were they monster munch? anyway they were green, red and orange.
Probably not much help as you cant buy them anymore! And the drinks are non-alcoholic!Sorry! Mostly we drank thunderbird and diamond white in the 80's - we were not as lucky as the teenagers today who have sweet alcopops for their first drunken experiences - we had to suffer disgusting tasting stuff!

Definately Cocktails - pina colada made with malibu?
Done in a shaker, glasses with sugared rims, parasols or those palm tree sticks with a monkey climbing up etc etc.

Food:a step up from prawn cocktail - serve it in a halved avocado.

Don't forget Sunny Delight for the DCs.

Sit back and enjoy watching them bounce off the walls for hours.

I ma getting excited now and beginning to sort the 70s from the 80s! Vermouth drinks were big - cinzano, martini, campari, will definately buy in those. Malibu and pineapple - bleuchhh - but very Wham so will get that too.

Loving the mini kievs, garlic bread and satay. Food did start becoming a bit more "exotic" didnt it? My signature dish was a tuna and egg lasagne but I wont be forcing that horror on my guests.

Four cheese pizzas, thick crust

80s wine cooler recipe:

4 oz Chablis® white wine
6 oz 7-Up® soda
1/2 oz grapefruit juice
1/2 oz pineapple juice
1/2 oz lime juice
1/2 oz lemon juice

First mix lemon, lime, grapefruit and pineapple juice together in a mixing glass. Pour the Chablis white wine into a tall wine glass, and top with 7-Up. Add the juice mixture, and serve.

Oooh Rindercella, that sounds nice, I love Chablis. Maybe try with a cheaper chardonnay and keep the Chablis to myself!
