Timing and Duration of a 3 year olds party

Just wondering what the general opinion was on a good time to hold a party for a 3 year old. Most children attending will be between 1.5 and 3. I was thinking (hoping!) 2 hours would be long enough and as afternoon seems best, maybe 2-4?

At DS' most of them were at the same nursery so we knew they normally had naps between 12.30 and 2.30 ish so we opted for 3.30 to 5.30 p.m. for his 3rd birthday party.
