Ideas for elegant/black tie birthday decorations please..

I am helping DBIL organise a party for DSis's 30th. She knows she is having a party (she would want to buy a new dress, look gorgeous etc) but not that it's James Bond/black tie (but elegant and glamourous not over the top!)

They have a restaurant which is the venue but I want to decorate it so that she does not feel like she is at work

Any ideas greatly appreciated......

I would do black and silver helium balloons as table centre pieces, add those boxes of table trivia to get people talking, and maybe have a vew vases of black and silver baubles/ branches dotted round?
