An aquaintance mum I know bought my new DS a gift but I didn't get her new DD one- should I get one now?

Hi, a girl I met on my last mat leave got PG again the same time as me and we had our second babies a day apart. I would describe this woman as an aquaintance as we met through a baby group and only really kept in touch within the group as a whole i.e, we never went out for coffee on our own etc. However we've been in text contact through our pregnancy despite not meeting up in the 9 months.

We met up this week with our new babies and I was pretty embarrassed as she had a gift for my DS but I hadn't bought her DD anything, now I feel bad about it! We are meeting up again next week with the others from our original baby group, do you think I should buy her DD a present to give to her then or would it be a really obvious afterthought? WWYD?

I think you should leave for now to be honest as it would seem very obvious. Maybe leave it a few weeks and if you see something you think she's like for him while you are shopping then get it and say you just saw it and though of him!
