DD is invited to a 7 year olds party and his mum suggested an army themed present. Am looking to spend £10 at the most, anyone seen anything that he is unlikely to have already?

Have looked on Ebay but nothing jumped out.

binoculars?
flask?

dried food (camping stores)

Dried food? Really? Would a 7 year old boy want to play with that?

Binoculars is a good idea, but aren't they a bit more than a tenner?

he's got some kid's stuff I've bought a few things from him. The T-shirts are good value.

maybe a good novelty thing? I bought some dried icecream and fruit (astronaut stuff) at xmas from hawkins for my nephew (he was 8 at the time)

How about something from the HM Armed Forces range. Ds1 is 6 and would love any of these - particularly the Utility Belt on the 2nd page!

Thanks Hana, I see what you were getting at and I did ask for something he might not have . Stinky the Toysrus stuff is just a little bit too dear, he is just a school friend, so it really is a tenner max.

Curiousmama, I reckon I could find something on there, thanks.

How about a camouflage net?

suwoo · 03/07/2009 22:32

Am liking this best so far.

Maybe with this aswell, depending on how much it is.

2nd link again....

grenade

You're welcome, hope the grenade isn't too dear?

suwoo · 03/07/2009 22:41

Don't reckon it will be, looks like just a piece of plastic. If it is, it will be just the water bottle

Hana, just realised that your suggestion of a flask is exactly what I am going for. Thanks

Have you emailed him? He's really nice to deal with.

suwoo · 03/07/2009 22:46

Not yet, will do over the weekend. Is p&p low? not checked yet.

I think it'll depend on what you buy? You could always ring and haggle
