where do trendy 40 year olds go to dance the evening away in London?

because a bunch of untrendy 40 year olds are planning a night out and would like to know. somewhere cool where no-one will call you granny. where people will assume you've always known where to go...where you can talk. and dance. and sip cocktails. as if you do it every weekend.

100 club

I wanted to ask the same thing - but want to go somewhere with decent food first as well. The 100 club is no good if you fancy getting glammed up rater than the student look!
