Do your DC have a birthday party every year?

I have DS 2 and DD 4 and so far we have gone out for the day each time and invited friends/family to join us but pay for themselves (we provide cake and our kids). Normally Zoo or park or something like. That way if people can't go on the day or weather is bad it's not costing us money.
I've said no parties with lots of friends till they reach 5th birthday. (Well probably about 8-10 friends)

DD is 7y and so far yes. I like doing them; she loves having them - so for now we will continue.

Ds is 4 and has yet not had a party - we have a family tea at home! We did say he could have one this year but money was tight so we said we would take him out somewhere instead ... yet to happen though!

Yes. I wasn't going to this year as dh isn't here again for the 3rd year running but ds loves parties and is looking forward to his birthday next month.
