Party bag alternatives for 5 year olds

Hi,

I am throwing a disco birthday party for my DS who will be turning five. I am looking for low maintenance and cost effective gift ideas for 30+ children. Any alternative to gift bags. Any ideas? Thanks

I did a lucky dip for my ds's 5th birthday, was a sports party so balls, skipping ropes, frisbees, little kites etc all under £1 each. I thought it was a great idea but quite a few children asked where their party bag was!

Good idea. My son loves party bags but loses interest after half an hour and it just seems a waste. It would be good to come up with something unusual

What about glow sticks or illuminous necklace-type things for the disco?
