My mum is 60 next month - what can we do to celebrate?

When she was 50 I booked a day off work for her and took her to London for lunch and then to see Phantom of the Opera (fav musical, dad was never going to take her!)

Not sure what to do this time. I have just had a baby so a big day out is probably not an option but I would still like to do something special for her and as my dad and my brothers just look at me blankly when I broach the subject I thought I would ask you wise ladies (and gentlemen!)

Picnic somewhere she likes with whole family bringing a bit each - champagne, pate, smoked salmon etc. Could be by the seaside, a park or out in the country - somewhere special to her.

With a back up plan in case of rain of course .

Oooh good idea. She lives near Savernake Forest, we could book a bbq, have a posh do in the forest!
