Would it be ok to just do popcorn / sweets at the pics ?
Thinking Sat afternoon 3 ish ?

Mostly parents do food too, if going at three I would expect them to have had lunch before they go, but would probably organise pizza for after film.

You could get a big one for them to share, a couple of slices each should be fine unless they are 17 yr olds. If possible you could even have a take away one at home, or get someone to have one ready for when you return.

But if you didn't feed them it wouldn't be the end of the world, if my son came back from cinema party first thing I would ask was have you had eanything to eat, no, sigh ok lets get you some dinner then. , really depends whent hey will get back.

BTW providing your own mini bag of sweets and own juice plus pizza after will still be cheaper then buying cinema popcorn and pick and mix, be warned.

What time will they get home? If they get home in time for tea at home don't feed, but make sure parents know. If they'll be too late for tea at home you'll probably want to feed them.

If my ds was going to the cinema for 3pm - I would expect him home around 5-5.15pm and wouldn't expect him to have eaten. Unless the invite said a later end, in which case I would expect him to have eaten.

Having said this he has never actually been to a cinema party.

It's fine to do just cinema, but it's not really very sociable, which is what parties are supposed to be about.

What we generally do is have a smaller number of guests (4-6 + us 4), feed them first at pizza hut or something and tell them they will not be having drinks/popcorn/sweets at the cinema so to eat properly now

It's cheaper to give them proper food than to cough up for popcorn, sweets and drinks for everyone at the cinema!

They are 7 think the film couple of hours.
I was hoping the kids would get dropped off at cinema so not really an option to do food at my house.
Was going to transprot them but car seats etc would be a bit of a nightmare i would have thought.

Maybe i could do a box of food , drink etc whilst in cinema ?

Roisin i never really thought about that. DS was just going to have 4 friends from school plus sis and cousin. He has always had big parties previously so was hoping to scale it down now.
